I began my career at the early age of 8, participating in cultural events in my native Tampico – Madero, accompanied by my brother, consolidating myself and him as a children’s duet par excellence of each party, social event and contest that we performed at locally, often achieving first place. We often performed with artists of the stature of Mr. Vicente Fernández among others. Adopting the name of Duet 1 + 1, we remained in the states of Tamaulipas and Veracruz participating in contests such as Mexico, Lindo and Querido, the FENAPO of SLP and contests organized in the state of Tamaulipas. In addition we participated as hosts in children’s programs including the program Nostalgia of Channel 13 with the broadcast presenter Zúñiga in México City in 1985. Over the years after becoming more established, my brother and I decided to take different directions within the musical field. I studied at the Faculty of Music at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas and obtained outstanding grades. I utilized my academic training by working as a music teacher while continuing my singing career as a soloist and band member. As a soloist, I participated in various competitions, often obtaining first places and recognitions as best performer. Later, I traveled and performed through different states of the country such as Jalisco, all through Tamaulipas including the border cities, Veracruz, Tlaxcala, Oaxaca, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Federal District and also Nuevo León where I made my CD ‘Atlántida Hernández Sin Límites Vol 1’, done in the Norteño style. In 2015 I followed up on a offer and moved to Cancún. For the next four years I performed at many resorts in the Riviera Maya in such shows as Broadway musicals, American pop shows, Mexican and Latino events and shows, Disney musicals, Lady Gaga shows, and more. I sing with passion, and I’ve always seen my music as more my language to communicate then a job. In 2020 I moved to Canada where I continued with succesful presentations at private events and different venues. Now with more than 30 consecutive years of singing in countries such as México, Spain, the U.S. and Canada, I believe I have developed into a versatile, charismatic and capable vocalist with great range. I have the experience and ability to perform on any stage with the confidence to guarantee a full and satisfying performance.
